In Still Lemons/No Worries (2024), the scene shows what looks like a window for exchange. Chen wanted to tell a story about the stagnation of exchange, be it intellectual or material. Just as how one goes to the bank to deposit money in exchange for the growth of their possessions, or to the ticket window to exchange for a voucher for the next leg of their journey, it is about the exchange of expectations. However when people fail obtain expectations, the exchange turns into a fissure. But Chen still sees “lemons” on the empty counters, and as the writer Motojiro Kajii describes lemons, they can be like a bomb, destroying old relationships, or they can be refreshing and positive.
