The heart character is a characterized version of life.
The liquor and french fries represent pleasures in life which are at the same time bad for your heart.
It is a figure that spends a good time while shortening one’s life.

The two paintings are connected when one is positioned above the other.
The creator is alive and his life story continues during the creation. The painting plays the role of flashbacks from various points of the artist's life. Traversing multiple paintings, it reflects elements related to past works and experiences. It is like a scene of life from a never-ending shadow puppet play.

The text in the painting is from the Declaration of Lisbon (On the Rights of the Patient (World Medical Association)). Wishma Sandamali, who died of emaciation without receiving proper medical care while she was detained at the Immigration Bureau in Japan, dreamed of eating McDonald’s and made a sketch of it. Around the same time, I had fallen ill and received appropriate medical care. I painted this work with Wishma’s case in mind, which is in contrast to my own situation. I learnt about the news of Wishma yearning for french fries after I painted the french fries in this work, so it was a coincidence. But it was also a significant thing, so I chose it as the title of the work. It means that very small things are becoming increasingly precious and difficult to obtain.
