※The caligrapher in the Hwatu represents the Meiji Emperor, and the frog represents Tanaka Shozo making his direct appeal. The flowing water represents the Watase River, and dead fish were added.
※花闘の両班を明治天皇に、カエルを直訴する田中正造に見立てた。水の流れは渡瀬川に見立てて死んだ魚を描き加えた。
