Yayoi Kusama
Within some of these dots, simple line drawings reminiscent of the "profiles" Kusama has drawn for years lie hidden. Here, abstraction and figuration, self-image and cosmic expansion, coexist in a resonant harmony. While her iconic polka dots represent the dissolution of the individual boundary and a sense of oneness with the world (Self-Obliteration), in this work, they pulse like living organisms scattered across the cosmos.
Cells of life, wordless chats, and fragments of inner imagery—these elements are arranged as if weightless, making the piece a direct extension of Kusama’s spiritual world, a hallmark of the "My Eternal Soul" series. Through its vivid colors and rhythmic repetition, the work invites the viewer into a quiet, cosmic dialogue.
