※Modernisation of the mine shaft. Drill bits were used to create holes, which were then filled with dynamite and detonated. Mine carts loaded with ore were pulled by electric locomotives. Work lamps were replaced with acetylene lamps, which emitted a strong light for extended periods.
※坑内の近代化。鑿岩機で穴を開けるとダイナマイトを仕込んで発破した。鉱石を載せたトロッコは電気機関車が牽引した。作業用の灯りは長時間強く発光するアセチレンランプに代わった。
