Place

Ota Fine Arts Singapore is pleased to present “Place”, a group exhibition featuring works by Chen Wei, Masanori Handa, Hilmi Johandi, Ming Wong and Zhao Yao. This exhibition investigates ‘place’ as a physical space, a position, or a location embedded with emotional attachment or historical and cultural significance. Ranging from drawing and photography to video and installation, the artworks reflect each artist’s research or observations on collective histories and socio-geographical cultures in today’s context.

Ota Fine Arts Singapore invites all to step into the worlds of the five artists and experience the sense of place in each of their artworks. Through their diverse perspectives, visitors are encouraged to reconsider how places shape our identities, memories and understanding of the world around us.
