Yayoi Kusama

[Notice] Counterfeit Yayoi Kusama Works and Fraudulent Authentication Documents

We have recently observed a sharp rise in counterfeit Yayoi Kusama artworks — particularly prints — circulating through auctions, online sales platforms, and secondary market galleries both in Japan and internationally.

Additionally, we have confirmed cases whereby not only the artworks themselves, but also our gallery labels, invoices, and certificates of authenticity have been forged or fraudulently misused.

We strongly advise buyers to exercise extreme caution and conduct their own due diligence before purchasing any artwork.

Please note that our gallery assumes no liability whatsoever for any losses, damages, or disputes arising from the purchase of artworks accompanied by counterfeit or forged documentation.

As a general policy, we do not respond to inquiries regarding the authenticity of individual artworks, nor do we offer verification services. However, this does not apply to artworks purchased directly from our gallery. If you acquired your piece from us directly, please contact us for assistance.
